Moving Inwards

I
I am quiet,
Still, dazed.
Perhaps, I have spoken,
Too much.

II
I live like a panther,
Sharp and quick,
and brave and intimidating,
And alone.

III
Make me live
Upon the brown tree,
A brown chameleon
Still always.

  4. Silence is more powerful than speech, I sometimes feel. We reveal ourselves when we speak out and thereby some of the power is diluted. I don't know maybe I am wrong.

I would rather be the panther, brave and fearless and feared. Why a chameleon -- so that you remain camouflaged or because you want to have the choice to change?

    1. I agree with you: silence is more powerful than speech. Hence I often need to withdraw, become silent to regain that power.
Being a panther keeps you engaged with the world--but note the word in that poem "and alone"--that is sometimes frightening. For the inner anchor for the panther, I find necessary the chameleon, to live in anonymity and silence without the aloneness overwhelming you.

  5. Oh wow! There are amazing spaces between those words. I am tuning in, listening to their wisdom. I think the challenge is to walk the wavy line between chameleon and panther. The more avatars you can take, the better you can live!

  6. Is that a glimpse of a mind in search for the meaning of existence? Beautifully written. I love how the frugal lines hit with great force.
